Lumbago Meaning

In modern medicine

For treatment, local fomentation (by infra-red or short wave diathermy) should be given and pain relieving drugs (of nesed group) should be used. Holding a long breath, stay in this posture for a few moments. Now loosen your legs and bring them downwards slowly, but keep the feet in a bent position. Remember, the waist is close to the floor. If both legs are pained by bending down together, then move the feet alternately down.

Mountain and Sag Exercise

This exercise provides relief from the pain or lumbago in the lower back of the disc. With this exercise, the waist is rhythmically raised and tilted down. Bending on the floor with your hands and knees raise your back like a cat. Stay in this posture for 5-7 seconds. Now bend your waist down and remain stable for about 5 seconds.
